i’ve been told before that i think too much. maybe i do, but maybe it’s better than the alternative. i know he was a pagan, but i really think socrates was on to something when he said that true wisdom comes from knowing that you know nothing. we can get so bogged down with our own opinions, we can often miss bigger truths which are staring us in the face. i want to find those truths.
in the end, i think i get what paul said when he prayed that people would be able to grasp the width and length and height and depth of God’s love for them in Christ, a love that’s bigger than what we can know (eph 3:18f). that’s what i’m about – exploring a love that’s endless so others can join us in it.
personally, i’m a mixed bag. i’m into motorbikes, rock music (check out www.toothandnail.com for some awesome stuff), mixed netball, batman comics, buffy the vampire slayer, a little philosophy, classic literature, and so on. my biggest problem, is that there just isn’t enough time to do it all as well as i’d like.

Finally I’ve checked out your blog! My verdict: KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! I can certainly relate to what you say – I too have been told I think too much. But then God has put so much out there for us to discover and enjoy as we stretch our minds! (Just imagine what brain function must have been like before the Fall … !)
By the way, I meant to comment on the statement / argument that “If God knows all things, how can we have free will.” On almost all the occasions I have heard people make this comment / assertion / question, it seems to me to be improper from a logic point of view. The orator has pre-supposed the answer in framing the comment. Thus the two parts, “God all-knowing” and “human free will,” are assumed to conflate into the position taken by the orator, when in fact some prior logical argument is necessary. Whether the orator realises or not, he is implying that God constantly uses His foreknowledge to confound our decisions. That is not the Father God I have come to know and love.
Awesome stuff!! I am glad to have stumbled upon on your blog. Indeed, keep up your good work and keep writing your reflective thoughts to show how a postmodernist man perceives the reality of God in the everyday living.
